Question This is a bad PSU what now? I have warranty on whole PC

Hello i bought a PC from a website, i am bad at building anyways so is best solution for me, Im happy with what it does ( Metro exodus ultra, ray tracing etc without problems ).

It has a cx650 corsair silver label.

Full specs:

I7 9700k
2080 RTX Gigabyte (i think gigabyte)
Corsair 16 GB DDR4
ADATA SX8200 Pro 512 GB SSD
Seagate IronWolf 4 TB HDD
Gigabyte z390
Corsair CX650
Corsair Hydro H100X CPU Cooler

What's the best for me?
Just leave it since warranty or replace something?

Why do you actually want to replace your current PSU ? Are you facing any serious issues while gameing, system restarts/reboot, artifacts, PC shutdown, or some other issue ? That's an OK PSU, but not the very best in terms of quality.

Nope, no issues, it’s a day old (present from my mother). Just read a lot that the PSU is a bad one so it got me worried, so i thought lets ask

So If you have the budget for it I'd get something more fitting to power your 2080 and i7.

The PSU is not really good, but prebuild PCs have to make up their margins somewhere... one is skimping on a cheap PSU.
A Norwegian company even shipped computers with corsair VS...

So it will suffice for a few more months? Then i could get a better PSU and let someone build it in, also what do u recommend.

Note that the pc have warranty for 2 years, can extend it to 4 years if i register it.

Can you grab one of these PSU models, if possible, from your shop ? This is assuming you can replace that CX model. I suggest you try using these PSU models to power up the RTX GPU. High quality units. There are many more good quality models from other brands/manufacturers as well.

Yes the corsair RMX 750 w is 99,90 Euro there, can buy it in a month or so, just not right now, i guess that wont be a problem, to wait a month?

I'm not sure about the waiting period to return any component, on that shop. Please kindly ask the retailer/shop regarding this issue. If they say, YES you can wait for a month, then you can grab that RMX model, when times comes. I hope this helps or not ??

I would not do anything until the warranty period is over, making any change prior to this will most likely void your warranty that you paid a premium for.

The CX650 is not a psu I would choose however it’s not that bad either. It’s much improved over the old green CX600 that was a poor quality unit.

You have no reason to do anything.
650w is perfectly plenty for your parts.
Corsair is a reputable brand and a CX650 psu is not a dangerous unit.
If it should fail, there is sufficient protective circuitry to protect all of your other parts.
You have a K suffix processor and a Z390 motherboard which will allow you to overclock if you wish.
If you are reluctant to do that, you should also be reluctant to change out a part such as the PSU.

I concur with geofelt, install your favorite game, set it to ultra and enjoy. If you have no issues, it's a win win.

I have kinda a funny story.My friend bought a prebuilt pc.Not a great one 4590 with a gtx 750ti.I told me wanted to upgrade his gpu so i said first things first get a better psu as it was a no name brandy and he didn't listen and went and bought a gtx 1060 6gb.The next day we standing in the living room and we just heard an explosion.Was damn funny for me and lucky for him was that i had an extra cooler master 500w psu lying around.Good thing is that only the psu went and nothing in his pc got hurt(Thank God for that)

But lesson never skimmed out on a descend psu
