Hello, I was going to build a PC but then I stumbled upon this. Its a Dell XPS 8500 Special Edition, and it has pretty awesome specs.
Intel Core i7 3770 3.4 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB GDDR5
16GB 1600MHz DDR3
2TB 7200RPM HDD with 32GB SSD - Smart Response Technology
It also has built in Wifi, Bluetooth and USB 3.0 and card readers and stuff.
The total is $1250.
I was going to build one with:
i5 2500K 3.1 GHz
8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5
500GB 7200RPM HDD
No Wifi or bluetooth or card readers.
Total of $1100.
My dad wants me to get a prebuilt one, so he will gimme the extra $150 for the Dell.
I assume the gaming performance would be rather similar.
I'm also going to be using it for video editing and web browsing.
What do you guys think? I know prebuilts aren't as good, but that is an undeniably good deal.
Thanks,
