Maybe 1000 watts is unnecessary on the power supply?

I'd certainly try to avoid spinning drives unless budget is a problem.

You can shave off ~ $200 by going with DDR4 compatible board and DDR4 3600mhz instead.

many people say liquid cooling is more efficient than air cooling plus RGB is a plus
1000 w is to keep room for gpu upgrade instead of paying 2 times for psu
I have spinning drive from before so extra storage will not hurt instead off let this drive sit and collect dust plus it is usefull for none gaming use

"Future-proofing" is just pointless expenses. It doesn't work.

With same logic DDR3 would be nearly extinct now. Is it?

Best processor you can afford for 1080p, high refresh.

AM4 platform, with DDR4 great value at the moment.

General rule, don't pay a premium now to ward off some future issue.

A Corsair 850w PSU should be able to handle GPUs for some time.

Future proofing isn't going to work out well on a psu. With your build, I'm assuming you are looking at 40 series nvidia, which will require an ATX 3.0 psu with correct gen5 connectors. A standard ATX 2.0 current psu will not work with the 40 series, even adaptered, as there's also data connections along with the power connections.

If that's the case, I'd get a cheaper psu, just enough to run that 12700k and 1070ti, then get the better psu when you get your gpu.
