Hello. This is my first time building a computer and I have a few questions.

1) Are my parts compatible? I don't want to have to order stuff, wait for it to be shipped, find out that it's incompatible and have to return it. These are my parts:
Power Supply
Graphics Card
Memory
Motherboard
CPU
Hard Drive
Case is undecided.

2) Which case should I choose? I don't know how big my case has to be. Can someone please suggest me a case?

3) Some of the reviews for my graphics card say it takes up two slots. Does that mean the space of two slots or plugged into two slots?

4) Is my old monitor compatible with my computer as long as they have the same type of plug?

Thanks.

The Intel build is a bit more but includes a better GPU.

Similar to the FX6300 build above but using a HD 7850 2GB.
Stronger CPU than the i3 in particular for BF3 64 man and other massive player online games. The board should also be compatible with the Steamroller CPU's when they release which should be a significant upgrade.
It also includes a 50GB SSD to put your OS and a few games on it. If you get a larger SSD later, you can use this SSD to cache your HDD. If you want to stay in budget, I recommend dropping the SSD (having a slower boot/load time is better than a computer that doesn't you the performance you need in games)

The 7850 and the 7770 both take up two slots.

The monitors should be compatible as long it has the same plug (if it is VGA you may need an adapter from DVI since most GPU's no longer have VGA outputs. Adapters usually run $5-15)

An SSD has no place on a $600 build and 50GB won't get you very far. Leave this out entirely - you can always add one later on. I'd spend more on the case or the video card instead.

Well the card already is a 7850 2GB with a decent cooler you can OC with. Yeah the 50GB SSD is compeletly optional but I liked to throw it it as a extra goodie just to speed up OS and a select 1-2 games(dependent on game size). It can always be used a cache later on.

Here is a better case without the SSD

Both of those builds look pretty good. I say either one.
