This is my motherboard. Can it handle a i7 3770k or greater?

I bought this PC with this Mobo and a i5 3470.

I assume whoever had the PC before me updated the bios so they could
install that processor because the upgrade specs on that page up there says

Socket type: LGA 1155
TDP: 35W up to 95W (processor dependent)
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
Core i3-2xxx/T dual core
Core i3-2xxx dual core
Core i5-2xxx quad core
Core i7-2xxx quad core
Core G5xx/T dual core
Core G6xx/T dual core

What I want to know is if I can have a i5 3470 can I have a i7 3770k??
(Ive done some research and it appears the i7 3770 is the best it gets
for my processor socket)

Hello... That is a H61 MB so there would be no reason to get a "K" model CPU for it, You would want a "Z" board for it... It depends on the BIO's if you got the i5 3470 to work it would be worth trying an i7 3770 then... Do you need "Hyper threading" for a "Special" Program? Or bragging Rights?
Got the latest BIO's on it?

Not really bragging rights. Jus more wanting a i7 really. Im a gamer so most would prolly say you dont need a i7 for most games.
I think Batman Arkham knight was recommended to have a i7 on can you run it. And The Witcher 3 to. With newer games coming
out especially those that rely heavily in the DX department I thought it might be smart to price a better processor.

Ok ty for the info Tea Urchin

The mobo is made for Compaq and HP prebuilts, it doesn't support the IB 3xxx CPUs, (and seriously doubt they would even think about doing a BIOS upgrade as they brough out 'new' models for the IB (3xxx) line of CPUs, your best bet CPU wise would be a 2500 or 2600/2700, if wanting an i7 then the 2600 or 2700
