Hello!
Im trying to confirm if the MBO is most likely culprit here. Sorry for a bit longer post
PC:
Ryzen 5800X
Corsair RMx 650W
1080Ti Aorus
4 x 8GB Crucial Balliatix (Micron-E), oc'd to 3733 mhz
MSI B550 Tomahawk
Would like to describe what's happening, cronologically. Hope this way I explain it well.
1. I was playing game of Hearthstone, pc froze. I didn't think much of it.
2. First reset at this point
3. All RGB LED's work, fans are spinning.
4. Post after 30 seconds longer delay than usual. Message on display: Over Current have been detected on your USB device. PC will shutdown in 15 seconds to protect your Motherboard.
5. Disconnected all USB devices, USB front panel as well. Restart. Same message. I checked each usb port with flaslight, no visible contacts or fragments.
6. Cleared CMOS, CPU light was red for 30 seconds. But it dissapeared, PC posted, managed to enter UEFI.
7. Restart. VGA light solid red now.
8. Reseated GPU. Took out RAM, left only one stick. No post. VGA light red. Tried each ddr stick solo, same thing.
9. Another CMOS Clear. PC boots with all sticks of RAM back in, enters Windows normally.
10. I was suspecting VGA, so I fired up Furmark. It passed, normal temps, everything was normal. 3D Mark worked fine as well.
11. At this point I thought all is fine, so I shutdown PC.
12. Turned on PC, Over Current message again.
13. Restart. CPU solid light red for 30 seconds, then it stopped. Righr after it ,VGA light turned solid red again.
14. Last thing I thought I might try was BIOS update. It froze at 5% for about an hour. There is image on both monitors, VGA seems to be working fine.
So, you think it's MBO actually? I have no way of testing gpu, ram or psu on another pc unfortunately
