I was wondering If a xeon x5450 compadible with the Gigabyte GA-EP43-S3L because it says 'This motherboard is designed with VRD11.1 power phase, and cannot be compatible with VRD10 designed CPU'. on gigabyte's website and the xeon is a old chip. If not please recommend an equal or better chip on ali express for about 15 dollars which is compadible. I also want to use ddr2 ram as i'm upgrading and was using that in my old pc. I also want 4 dimm slots as i have 2 2gb ddr2 ram sticks and wanna double it for 8gb ram. I'm in india so the zeb g31 won't work for me and this is the perfect board for me.

You could go with a Core 2 Quad Q9650 since Xeon CPUs are not supported on the Gigabyte GA-EP43-S3L

Yes the Core 2 Quad Q8200 is supported.

That motherboard supports single and dual channel only, so if you populate 4 slots it will run in dual channel.

No, you will get similar X5450 performance from the Q9650.
You might be able to get one on eBay for around $20

It depends on the graphics card you use. If you are going with the GT 1030 then you won't see a difference in performance between the Q8200 and the x5450.
If you go with a GTX 1050 then games will perform better with the x5450.

Yes, the GT 1030 will work just fine on that motherboard.
