This new build a good upgrade? & Does the AMD FX-8350 do HAV, SLAT and DEP?

I was looking for a new system on Newegg.com and found a processor i would like to upgrade to from my current one. The one I found at a good price is AMD FX-8350, which I am hoping is a significant upgrade beyond my current intel:


But what I need in a processor is one that supports this :
System requirements
In the BIOS, the following features must be supported:
Hardware-assisted virtualization.
Second Level Address Translation (SLAT).
Hardware-based Data Execution Prevention (DEP).

I cannot figure out if this is true, Is it also mother board dependent??

thanks guys I am new to AMD again after a few years hiatus , so I am honestly not sure how they stack up and in what ways. I want a solid build upgrade that will keep me for at least 5 years. (gaming etc...). I suspect this will do it (Still puzzling out which graphics card to get.) currently have a GTX 460x, not sure if I will upgrade that or not. I also do a lot of programming and turns out windows phone 8 emulator requires the SLAT, HAV and DEP. go figure.

i looked but found nothing for the 8350 having dep slat or hav. only thing i found was a command prompt to figure out if u have it lol

But yes the 8350 is the budget choice from the i7 and beats an i5 for what ur doing, but again i have no idea on the features lol

The 460gtx is not a bad gpu, but for ultra settings for games or other graphical uses maybe an upgrade like a 7870/7950 or 660ti or 670gtx

Does ATI play nicer with linux now adays?
