This PC can't run Windows 11... huh?

I'm stumped. I think I covered all bases, TPM, secure boot, etc. But the install pgm stops at that early point all the time. Is there anything I should have change in UEFI?

Asus Prime B450M-A II (new)
Ryzen 5 5600G (new)
2x8GB Team VulcanZ DDR4 3600MHz (new)
650W Antec PSU
Win 11 Pro (latest microsoft media creation tool generated)
Latest UEFI set to factory defaults
fTPM 2.0

This is my 2nd near-identical build as this one, but the first was with the Prime B450M-A (ver I) and Ryzen 5 4600G. That one installed W11Pro no problems.

Is it throwing an error or message when it stops?

Have you attempted to do something like a Linux USB on the option to try (rather than install) just to see if it is a hardware issue? Similarly, could try installing W10 to see if it will complete and then do the update to see what it throws from the OS level.

I may try a win10 install like you suggest. Thanks for the idea. The board came with a UEFI a few months old, so I hoped that was the problem. I flashed to the latest UEFI after fails, but the results were the same as with the old UEFI. If the w10 install fails too, is it possible to be a hardware issue?

Boot mode has to be set to UEFI.
TPM has to be enabled.
Secure boot has to be enabled.

If you have completed these steps, then win11 install should proceed.
Just re-checked. Yes, all 3 of those are (and have been) set properly.
I'll see what happens when I do the W10>W11 in-place upgrade.

OK. I discovered what I was doing wrong. The UEFI was in csm compatibility mode, which apparently isn't GPT. I used diskpart to convert to GPT and fresh installed W11 Pro. This time the pgm let me continue. Thanks skynetrising for forcing me to dig deeper into secure mode.

Having csm enabled can disable secure boot.

GPT is drive partitioning format.
If you had shown us install error, you were getting, we could catch it much earlier.

What install error was I suppose to show? All I was presented with was this. That's the only clue I was given. Sorry, but I'm still learning some of this.
