Windows 10 in settings states:
"This PC doesn't currently meet the minimum system requirements to run Windows 11".

I've got an i7-9700K CPU, 32GB RAM and plenty of SSD space so I'm thinking it's the lack of a TPM module? Could this be the reason I can't run Windows 11?

My ASRock Z390 Taichi motherboard states it has 1 TPM header. Are all TPM modules the same? Is there any particular brand that's better than the others? Do they have right angle models (because I don't want it sticking up from the motherboard because I happen to have shrouded fans attached to my 4090 and a TPM module that sticks up will interfere w/this fan)?

I'd like to upgrade my rig but I won't be able to afford that until 2026, so I'm stuck with my ASRock Z390 for now.

ASrock Motherboard with Intel CPU:

  1. Enter BIOS by repeatedly tapping ‘Del’ or ‘F2’ on startup of the PC.
  2. Enter the ‘Advance’ Tab. Click on "CPU Configuration":
  3. Click on "Security".
  4. Click on "Intel Platform Trust Technology".
  5. Set to ‘Enable’
  6. Go to the Exit tab and select "Save changes and exit".
if the option is not yet available, just update your BIOS and try the settings after that

Q: TPM2.0 module is required in Windows 11 specification, does it need TPM2.0 hardware module? (2021/7/1)
No, please enabled [Intel® Platform Trust Technology (Intel® PTT)] or [AMD CPU fTPM] feature under UEFI BIOS. It supports the TPM2.0 feature without TPM2.0 hardware module.
