I'm thinking of buying this ASUS PCE-AC68 Wifi Adaptor (because of it's performance) but also because of the red styling that matches my PC.. But WHY is the cool heatsink on the side, that points toward the bottom of the case??? That means, that in my windowed case, i will see the ugly BACKSIDE of the card and not the cool heatsink -.- -.-

The heatsink dissipates the heat created by the chips on the card. It needs to be attached directly to those chips. The chips are mounted on that side of the board. Oddly, you don't seem to be making the same complaint about the graphics card.

Personally, I wouldn't get any wireless card for "performance", I'd use a wired network. A good wireless network needs more than just a good client card, it also needs a good wireless hub and a distinct lack of contending wireless devices. The more wireless devices on a hub the slower all the devices go.
