Rosewill RP550V2-D-SL 550W ATX12V v2.01 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

This is what I plan on having:
AMD Phenom II X4 940 3.0GHZ
4GB of OCZ Reaper 1066
1 HD
1 DVD/CD Drive
Radeon 4890 1GB
and a couple fans.

I know I could get one even cheaper and run all of this.. but I don't want to have to buy another PSU in a year.. or have it cause maybe a bigger problem with messing up other parts of the computer.

I will be using Antec 300 case.

Any better solution? I don't want to pay too much.. I guess that is kind of stupid though. :-/

Rosewill PSU's are crap. Don't put that PSU into your system unless you like fireworks inside your house. That one doesn't even have PFC. Trying to save a buck on the PSU is never a good idea, especially with a nice system like that. When a cheap PSU blows up it often takes other hardware with it. You should really look for a quality unit from Corsair, PC Power & Cooling, Seasonic, Antec Earthwatts series, etc... Here's a few options:

The Antec earthwatts 500w looks good. Gah I can't wait to finish buying all this. I already bought the ram.. should buy the case this week. Still debating on the motherboard. I could run the system earlier with a mobo with integrated graphics. Would have to wait another 2-3 weeks to get the graphics card. Buying paycheck to paycheck lol.

How about this one:

They had it for $58 last week with free shipping.. wish I had bought it instead of ram.

That BFG 550W LS series is a good PSU. That would be a good option for you. $58 would have been a steal for it, but $68 isn't bad either. I don't know if you're big on mail in rebates. Newegg has the same PSU for $79.99 - $20 MIR.
