Should I update to 64-bit windows or should I wait for the real version? Will I see any kind of change?

i doubt it, there aren't any 64 bit apps. and as far as i know, to take real advantage of 64 bit, ALL of the software needs to be 64bit, not just the OS

I've got a can of kerosene,
I've got some bright ideas involving you and me.

You can try it if you want, but you will not see much benefits, actually you might have sluggish performance and drivers issue, since many hardware vendor have not yet made comptetnet 64bit drivers. But, if you like experimentation, go and try it!

Get VMware and run it as a virtual machine...You can still keep your OS and experiement with WinXP64.

The WIN64 out there is really Beta. I think you'll see some 64bit games released here shortly, but big push will be next year. Mess with it in Virtual PC if you want but not much benefit now.

I tried it and it was okay, but not great. My mobo drivers don't work so I couldn't use the internet. On the plus side, there is supposed to be a 64 bit version of far cry out sometime soon. That might be worth it.

Set up for dual boot and make sure you get the latest video drivers. The registers that are only available to 64 bit os should add some in multitasking, and for some progs.
