Geforce GTX 780 3GB Video Card
Gigabyte Z87-D3HP Motherboard
8GB 1600 DDR3 Memory
120GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD
1000 GB 7200rpm HDD

Corsair CX, low quality PSU.
H55-cooler, h80i or h100i would be better. Depends on how much you want to overclock and spend on it.
3GB graphics card, as long as you stick to 1080p or 1440p you should be fine. 4k won't probably run on it. Should be decent performance. http://www.hardocp.com/article/2015/01/12/far_cry_4_graphics_features_performance_review/2
290X would be better but I don't know the price difference.

You could probably get away with an i5, few games benefit from i7s.
Motherboard I don't know. I've never built Intel-platform. If it fits your needs, has overclocking capability, digital VRM etc, enough power phases, 8+2, 6+2 whatever. And is compatible with the Intel. Go for it.

RAM doesn't matter. Size matters but not "speed". As long as its CL8/9 @ 1600 Mhz.

As someone else stated the GPU, CPU and Motherboard are last generation. If you can afford it I and I'm sure many others would highly suggest buying the newest generation components. Look at getting a Z97 motherboard. These will definitely be the best motherboards to overclock on. If you want to stay with Nividia then definitely go with a GTX 970 or 980. Again, newest generation. And as far as the CPU generally the i5-4690K is more than enough for gaming and won't disappoint. If you don't mind paying $100 more can you go for the i7-4790k.

SSD's are great, however the space is so small. A 120GB will fill up extremely fast. I'd suggest getting a minimum of 240-256GB SSD if you'd like to put some of your favorite games on there to up load times and performance. Only if this is in your budget ofcourse. Everything else is looking good. Say OP what is your current budget?
