Final build:
Ryzen 5 3600
msi b550 gaming edge motherboard
16gb 3600mhz cl16 ram
rtx 2060 super
phantek p400a
crucial p5
corsair txm 550w gold rated psu
any improvements at a similar price point?

Solution
Given the cost of that CPU, it would be better to go with an i5 11400.

This Z590 is cheaper than some B560, which is why I chose it. Even with a decent cooler, it's slightly cheaper, than the slower R5 3600 combo. You could possibly save a bit more, going with DDR4 3200 CL16, as well. Intel really doesn't see many gains beyond 3200mhz ram.

Depends on the price and how much you are willing to work around it.

For example, where are you getting an RTX 2060 Super?

If you can afford it, a Ryzen 5600X is a better option.
already have a 2060 super, and the current build is taking up the budget so any upgrades have to be a similar or lower cost.
thanks
