Hello

I would like to get more insight on the SSD harddrives.

Are they really giving a performance boost when it comes to gaming, if so i hope someone would refer to a good performing SSD that isnt too expensive if possible.

My system:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE
GPU: XFX HD5850 BE
MB: AM3 GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P 790FX
RAM: 4096 MB DDR3 PC3-10666 CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 1333
PSU: 750W CORSAIR TX SERIES ATX2.2
HDD: Samsung SpinPoint F3 Desktop Class HD502HJ-50
Monitor: Samsung 2233RZ (Resolution 1680x1050)

Any help is appreciated.

SSDs don't give a real performance boost to gaming: the games load fast, but after a game loads there is no real difference unless there is a call to disk.
Where SSDs make a difference is in system boot and some apps.
