Thoughts on DS415+?

Hello everyone. I'm thinking about buying a NAS for two reasons. For one it is data backup and access from all my computers and devices on my home network, and then for two is plex media streaming to my iPhone while at work and then my chromecast while I'm at home. I've narrowed it down to either the QNAP TS453 or the Synology DS415+.

I would only be transcoding one 1080p stream to one user at a time, as I will be the only one using the plex account. Will the DS 415+ be sufficient in that?

Also, I have 2 x 3TB WD Greens, 1 x 2TB WD Black, and 1 x 3TB Seagate hard drives. What I was thinking was I would buy 2 3tb WD Reds, then put the 2 green and 2 red drives in the nas so I can have data redundancy. Is this just a waste of money? I know I could do JBOD, but I want to be sure I'm not shooting myself in the foot here by limiting my options / performance of my NAS. I'm really stuck on this, and I'd appreciate any advice that I can get!! Thank you for any help.

Edit: I forgot to mention this in my original post, but I am completely open to new options as well. If there is a 6 or even 8 bay NAS option that is only a few bills more that could suit my needs better as well as offer expandibility for the future I am willing to hear any proposals out, as I do not know very much on the subject and am completely open to any thoughts on my scenario! Hey there, allahpayneyo!

I think that the 4-bay NAS enclosure is enough for your intended purposes.
Using Plex will probably allow you to stream 1080p smoothly to 1 device at most, though. However, if you plan to connect more than 3 devices that require transcoding at the same time, then I think you might need a much more powerful NAS.
Now, let's talk about the drives!
I wouldn't recommend using different drives in any NAS/RAID configuration ever. If you combine the WD Reds with the WD Greens, you will be slowing down the Reds to the limits of the Greens, which will make the general NAS purpose hard to accomplish.
I'd also strongly advise you to backup your NAS no matter what. RAID is not a backup solution, so make sure you keep a copy of the files on the NAS somewhere else as well.
