Thoughts on EVGA Classified K Z170

What do you guys think of this mobo?

Going to be buying it in about a week, Any thoughts before I do buy it? I do like the color scheme also... black. Very neutral.

It'll be for gaming, OC'ing the CPU. And for SLI'ing my EVGA 980 Ti Ftw's.

Very poor layout DO NOT BUY FOR SLI.
To run SLI the cards will have to be in slot 1 and slot 2 stacking the cards right on top of each other if they will even fit some cards are a tad bit larger than 2 slots.
I would never recommend or buy a EVGA motherboard.
I would buy any of these 3 before I bought anything they make. Personally I would buy the middle board.

I used to go with Gygabyte for my builds at some point, but i don't anymore because i don't like their BIOS support. Basically as soon as the new gen comes out, no more updates. Even if the last one was a beta.
Plus, i very much like ASUS's BIOS fan controll. It negates the need for speedfan. So out of the 3 you posted, i'd definitely go for the MAximus Ranger.

Ahhh thank you, Well, What would the main difference between the middle board and the first board? comparing them down the list.. they litterly have the exact same thing... the middle board does have a couple extra thing on the mainboard itself it seems... but besides that, looks like they are the same.

A bit higher quality parts. The XP SLI is not as wide the UD5 is full size.

The more problems you have with your boards the more BIOS updates are needed. When you have all the CPU's supported that work with the socket and everything works as intended their nothing left to update.
Your average person will never update the BIOS if everything is working as intended and that is the safest thing to do 0 chance of getting a bad flash and bricking the board.

They are like everybody else make updates as needed why waste the time to update BIOS when everything is working? If you crap is crap then you need to update. This is going to go nowhere I never buy from Asus for my own use and never will at one time they were a good company now they just make a killing selling overpriced ROG crap (gimmicks)
