hey, i'm about to buy the following build, and i'd like to hear some thoughts.

cpu: fx 6300
gpu: msi gtx 760
mobo: asus m5a97
ram: corsair vengeance 8gb ddr3 1600
psu: corsair cx600m
1tb seagate barracuda sata.

any thoughts? will the PSU be enough?
i don't want to spend too much more money but i'd like to hear some opinions

Solution
it is just a thought....it is completely up to you. i recommended it coz more and more games are now using multiple threads (8 cores/threads better than 6)

your mobo will do fine.
solid build.

The PSU wattage is fine, even a bit of overkill. The corsair builder series are pretty mediocre CWT built units, they have some significant ripple and will work you mobo's voltage regulator a little hard if you're going for an overclock. If you can afford a bit more, I recommend an XFX PSU (or any other seasonic-built unit). The Antec HCG series is also good.

is that really worth it? it actually costs a lot more in my country (140 euros as compared to 100)
also, will it still go with the same mobo or should i get a better one as well?

it is 2x4GB, forgot to mention that.
anyway, i'll try to get an 8320 then, if that will work on the same mobo.

There's only 1 1/2 games that can use 8 cores now. Unless you're playing crysis 3 or the multiplayer portion of BF4, you will see no benefit from an 8320 over the 6300.

While more games in the future will use more than 4 cores, saying that enough will to make the investment in an 8 core CPU worthwhile is nothing more than a guess. You'd still be fairly well covered with the 6 core.

i would actually really love bf4...
another topic on this forum said that a 6300 wouldn't bottleneck the gtx 760, but that's a whole different thing isn't it?

don't quite understand what you're trying to say here, my buest guess is you mean the I5's are maxed?

It looked like the 4 core intel CPU's aren't maxed in the tom's bf4 multiplayer benches - there wasn't much benefit in going from a 4 core intel chip to a 6 core intel chip, a slightly higher min FPS,which could be attributable to the 3960's slightly higher boost clock. (weirdly, the 2500k had a slightly higher avg fps than the 3960, go figure.)
