Thoughts on my mid ranged gaming build?

So, I decided to rethink my build because I figured I won't be playing super intensive games. Initially I was gonna buy like an i5 4590 and some crazy GTX 780 graphics card and make some hardcore build, but I will not need that much power for the games I plan on playing. This is just some insight to the build, so bare with me. I plan on playing games like Smite and like maybe some 360 type games off steam. So with all this in mind here we are...

CPU: AMD FX 6300

GPU: EVGA GTX 960

RAM: 2x4 Gb 1600mhz Corsair vengeance

Mobo: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0

Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

PSU: EVGA 500w 80 plus Bronze Certified

Aftermarket cooler: Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212

Chassis: Thermaltake V3 Black Edition Mid Tower Case

As it stands now, I will be purchasing this build when I save up enough! To me it looks like a good budget build with solid bang for your buck quality. Thanks for any feedback :)

P.S. it would be wonderful if any price recommendations were in CAD, thanks :)

1) you need an after market cooler for that processor. it wont perform up to standards without an overclock.

2) there are better boards with better power design for overclocking around the same price.

3) that power supply is not made for a gaming system. you need something with better quality.

if you would like to give me your budget i can give you a good recommendation.

So I wasn't really planning on any heavy overclocking out the gates I just wanna run on the stock frequency, but I plan on grabbing the cooler master hyper evo 212. Keep in mind this is a low key gaming build not meant to be super powerful. Also, the supply is just a standard PSU I don't see how this would affect the build in any way it simply provides power regardless of what the power is used for it still needs basic power.

i cant understand for the life of me why you would get a low end power supply for a 10 dollar difference. the 500w is made for basic home machines, not aftermarket graphics cards and overclocking processors. your power supply is arguably the most important part of the system. i would advise doing some research on power supplies. this is the most common mistake of inexperienced pc builders.

Dude its just a PSU lol my wattage only was like 330W for the entire build so why would i even need to go higher 500w is already a lot of head room

A subpar PSU will not provide "clean" power, regardless of how much you need. "Dirty" power can castrate an overclock and in worst cases bad PSUs won't have enough safety features should there be a problem and will take every other component with them in death.

That said any average one should suffice if you don't plan on future expansion, overclocking, and know it will likely need replacement sooner than a high end behemoth.
