Thoughts on new build

Just wanted to let the experts take a look over my new build to see if anything should be changed. I still haven't decided on a case yet but i'm not worried about that. The only main concern is the memory. Not sure if I should go dual-channel and if so I don't know which to get. This will mainly be used for gaming...

Looks good! Make sure your DVD burner can write DUAL-LAYER DVD. You might consider the NEC ND3500A... See this article :

Looks great. I'm not all that fond of the IBM hdd.
Get the ballistics in dual channel, it will give about 8% more perf.

Yeah, get two sticks of the Crucial Ballistix. Most newer games do show noticeable improvement with an extra 512mb of memory. Plus, with a system like that don't let your memory bottleneck you.

Another stick is a win-win situation, you get more memory and you get to use dual-channel. If you don't have enough money for another 512mb stick then <b>don't</b> get 2 sticks of 256mb. That will severly limit your upgrade options in the future.
