Hey everyone, so I've owned my computer for about 4 years now, and It's given me solid performance the entire time. I'm the kind of guy that likes ultra settings at 60 fps though, so it's time for some upgrades! I bought Far Cry 4 and noticed I only get about 40 fps on High settings, I'm looking to get it at 60 fps on Ultra settings. My specs are as shown below:

OS: Windows 7 64 bit
CPU: Intel i5-2500
GPU: Nvidia GTX 580
8GB Ram

I was thinking of replacing my GPU with a Geforce GTX 970. Should I also consider replacing my CPU? I'd prefer not to if it isn't necessary to get graphics settings to very high/ultra. Any input on my decisions, or any recommendations will be highly appreciated!

Yeah I saw this video after a few hours of research, it's actually what prompted me to want to buy a 970. Is my CPU okay or would it pose an issue? I'm worried that it would bottle-neck the GPU.

Yes your CPU is strong enough and will not hold the cards performance or bottleneck it in anyway.
