So I currently have an X79 board and I thought to myself, wouldn't it be great if x79 supported more cores? So I searched online and found this.
Anyone actually have it? Thoughts?

I would steer clear of overseas purchases of ES or engineering sample chips, but going with a Xeon in general on X79 would be great for multi-threaded performance.

Despite the age, they are still fantastic performers though the usual caveats of purchasing used, secondhand equipment applies (purchase from a very reputable seller....preferably one that offers a return policy, just in case).
