Thoughts on this 2700x build?

Building a PC for my friend. His primary use is gaming. His only requests for the build were top of the line performance and good RGB lighting. He's not too skilled in tech and won't be overclocking, which led me to think that the i7-8700 non-k would be a good choice, but after a couple days of research, I decided the 2700x would be a better fit. I believe the wraith prism cooler that comes with the 2700x is a good enough cooler for running at stock speeds which means I'd save money over the costs of an aftermarket RGB cooler for the i7. This frees up enough extra money to allow me to fit a used 1080 TI from ebay in the budget.

As far as fans go, I wanted addressable rgb fans so the build looks impressive and compliments the rgb on the motherboard and the ram. The thermaltake sync controller allows the riing plus fans to be controlled by the gigabyte motherboard software. I like this because it means I only have to show my friend how to use one rgb program and it keeps the lighting of his whole system totally synchronized.

The parts budget he gave me was 1500 but I'd like to keep the price closer to 1400 because tax will add to that.

That's a pretty solid build. My only comments would be to go for a 2Tb Seagate for only 15$ more. As well as a better PSU since you're going for high-end parts (like the Seasonic Focus Gold) but the one you chose works fine; I have the same one but would have gone for the Focus Gold if it was in stock when I bought it.

I would also go for 3200Mhz if possible since that's the maximum Ryzen supports right now.

But overall, solid build!
