Using quality / reliability, and price to performance ratio. How would you rate this board for gaming. Going to couple it with Intel i5-2500k CPU, and I haven't decided what else yet. I may or may not overclock, but I wanted the option since it's only $10 more in terms of CPU's

They have similar boards at similar prices on this site, including Gigabyte, Asus, and a few others. I've heard MSI is quite reliable though.

Solution
Msi is about average. Reliability varies with certain board model numbers, not brands. I recommend you do your homework about heatsinks so that once you install the cpu, you don't have to remove the heatsink again. Retail box heatsinks tend to run warmer, but the higher temps don't bother me, since I never keep anything more than one year. If you're a little paranoid about temps, get a decent 120mm heatsink and some low profile ram if the heatsink might interfere with your ram sticks.

I appreciate the response, I've heard some say the stock cooling fan on the i5-2500k (not overclocked) was enough, but I was also wondering about the heatsink, the details of the processor page said nothing about it having a heatsink. I might be able to re-use the one I have already, but I couldn't tell you anything about it's specs since it came in a pre-built one.

I'm looking in to a PC that'll last me 5 years at least, so I won't be overclocking, and I definitely want it to remain cool. As for the motherboard, I hope I end up with a good one, I'm looking at one similar to the one I linked, even if it's a different brand.
