Thoughts on this build?

1. Instead of a 120mm radiator, get a 240 or 280 rad AIO, or get a good air cooler like the NH-D15 from Noctua.

2. NEX series PSUs are low-quality, get a G2 or G3 or RMx series PSU.

3. 850 Pro SSDs aren't much better than the EVO, I suggest getting a 500GB EVO with no HDD or keep the HDD.

1) Agree with ryguybuddy. Actually, you can probably max out your CPU with a much cheaper ($25) Hyper212 or Cryorig H7, so spending $150 on a cooler is rather silly. With these savings you could move up to an i7, should you wish.

2) Agree with ryguybuddy. Also, 650w is a lot more than you need, you're probably fine and then some with a 450-500w unit.

3) Again agree with ryguybuddy. Also, you might want to go with an M.2 drive, not because they're faster, but they draw less power and would get rid of a lot of wire mess in your case.

Another thought: That motherboard is ridiculously expensive for socket 1151, why that choice?

Thanks for the support! its in canadian dollars, so it is actually $170. Still expensive, however, I agree. I suggest a:

or a MSi Z170-A Pro but some believe MSi has poor quality control. I have this board in my rig and it works great, but I might have just gotten lucky.

Nice build

Something I would do is to go for a cheaper Z170 mobo and cooler, such as a 212 EVO unless you are very confident of your overclocking capabilities

Then grab a better graphics card that build deserves it

Beyond that It's a nice PC

That graphics card is a great model, no need to change. The 212 EVO is outstripped by a Cryorig H7, as stated above by Ecky..

Performs significantly better for $80 less, expand your range of retailers, you get much better bang for buck.

Yeah that's a much better build. I'd rather remove the optical drive they are no longer useful even though It's like $20 more

The 1060 is a great card. Yet, I think he can afford the 1070 which will last longer

Here's an updated build which features a better power supply.

Refer to my above build.

i was just going to use the SSD for my operating system, would it be fine keeping the one i have listed?

-The Corsair H55 is outperformed by most low-end tower aircoolers that cost ~$25-35. AiO watercoolers are just not good values.

-You can get an 850 EVO 250GB for about the same price as the 850 Pro 128GB, and it will probably perform better too. Larger SSDs are faster.

Otherwise looks good.

sounds good i think ill go with the be quiet! So finally this will be the build i think im going to go with!!!

Last question do you think i should buy a few more case fans, or will the 2 fans that come with the case and the components fans be enough?
