Thoughts on this new pc build?

Hi everyone,

I am going to build a pc for my girlfriend, she won't play any games on it, maybe a bit of minecraft or sims! These are the the parts I am thinking about ordering:

Asus Z87-A
Corsair 500W Modular PSU
Samsung 840 EVO
Corsair Vengeance C70 case
Asus Nvidia GT 640 2gb
1TB WD Blue
Intel i5 4670
Corsair Vengeance 8gb Ram

If I were you, I'd build an APU system. You just don't need an i5 for a casual user, and it forces you to get a separate GPU if you want to do even casual gaming. Something cheap would be better for you, like this:

Feel free to make some modifications, but the APU will be more than enough for Sims and Minecraft, and will absolutely destroy basic tasks like media streaming and web browsing.

looks good to me, though I'd suggest the following changes:
Z81 or B85 motherboard...no need fora Z87 if you aren't overclocking or doing crossfire/sli

replace the 640 with a similar priced R7 250 or HD 7750

yes they are amd. just more oomph for your buck than a 640

the build looks okay. aim for a radeon 7770/r7 250x or a radeon r7 260x, those are selling close(-ish) to 7750 prices lately.
