A few months back I built my HTPC and here are the specs -
AMD-A10-5800K
ASROCK FM2A85X Extreme4-M
8GB DDR3-1600
120GB SSD
3TB HDD SATA
CETON TV Tuner
I built the computer as a replacement to our DVR with the idea that I could game lightly on the PC again with no intentions of getting rid of my PS3. Well that idea came and went and I ended up selling my PS3 as it was just collecting dust, I was ok with the framerates I was getting for most of the games I was playing (list below).
Adjusted to be playable at 1080:
Sleeping Dogs(30 fps)
Battlefield 3(25 fps)
Left4Dead2 (60 fps)
Fifa 13(N/A)
Sniper V2 (Unplayable)
GTA4 (30 fps)
Now I'm stuck as I've got $200 to spend and I'm not sure what the best upgrade for my money will be. I've looked into dual graphics, dedicated graphics, adding more memory...just looking for the best bang for my buck that will allow me to play upcoming titles at higher frame rates.
I'd like to play Battlefield 4, Watch Dogs, etc going forward and get >30 fps if possible...
