Aug 5, 2019
I'm a first time pc builder, and I'd like to ask if the pc parts I'm buying makes sense (no overpriced parts, sensible monitor/gpu, etc.)

GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 Super GAMING OC (since I've yet to see a 2070 super fe in stock)

2x G-Skill 8gb 3600 ddr4 ram

Asus ROG Swift PG279QZ 27"

Seagate BarraCuda 2TB Internal Hard

Drive HDD – 3.5 Inch SATA 6Gb/s 7200 RPM 256MB Cache 3.5-Inch

MyDigitalSSD BPX Pro 80mm (2280-S3-M) M.2 PCI Express 3.1 x4 (PCIe Gen3 x4) NVMe SSD (512GB (480GB))

CORSAIR RMX Series, RM550x, 550 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply

CORSAIR Carbide AIR 540 ATX Cube Case

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler with PWM Fan

ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) ATX Motherboard (x570 instead of b450 for longer vendor support and to avoid bios flashback stuff)

The price total comes out to slightly under 2.1k usd, which is slightly above my original 2k usd budget. Is there anything here that doesn't make sense?

Welcome to the forums my friend!

What currency- USD?
Depending on what overhead you want, you may want to up the PSU wattage. But the RMx is good quality.
If you're not overclocking, the stock cooler should be fine. But the 212 will enable some further headroom.
