PC will be for gaming in 4k and will be a 4k Plex server. Only one decode at a time expected, only used by myself and my wife.

Looking for the fastest most stable RAM? Would this set up be capable for 8000mhz RAM being stable?

I have this RAM saved on my Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C2B41VTH/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A3TOECTKC4OEBD&psc=1

So far I have the monitors, Exos drive, CPU and case. Going to pull the trigger on the rest pending some online analyzation. lol One thing I'm going lower on price wise is the motherboard. But I don't feel I need every single feature out there and will never use it all, seems the Master X has plenty to get the job done? Reference what the PC will be used for above?

Also going to replace the rear stock case fan with a RGB fan.

Any other suggestions for addons etc?

how much improvement are you expecting from 8000mhz rams?

hardware accelerated transcoding and cpu software transcoding quality is not that different playing in 4k with the latest hardware. The 4090 handles it better than an i9 CPU.

You would also not see that much of an imprevement with the T700 SSD. you main bottleneck would still be your local network rather than the storage drive bandwidth.

Similar argument for mobo. what are you gaining with the price premium? reliable memory OC support? its overrated imho.

modified you part list with more budget conscious choices:

This was also my exact sentiment. It's your money, but just know that the amount of improvements for spending much more are very minimal with regards to storage and that RAM.

Thanks for all the advice. Honestly money isn't really an issue but then again it's dumb to waste it.

The Master X has a dedicated M.5 slot so I figured why not use it and put a M.5 in there, ya know? I understand the gain is minimal, watched videos and you're talking fractions of a second load time difference but hey, what the hell.

Ordering everything today.

I stuck to the Gigabyte OC 4090 and ordered today for 1799 from Best Buy. Read it's a level 3 card and for the money can't really go wrong.

Keeping the MSI 1300 Watt platinum. I dig some of the monitoring features that come with it and it's future proof for my next system build I'm hoping being 1300 watts.

I can still stick with the 8000MT/s RAM, same price as the lower MT/s so why not? If I can't pull 8000 out of it oh well.

Thinking overall this should be a beast of a PC!!!! Quite a step from a 8700k and GTX 970 (sold my 3090 last year during the video card shortage)....LOL
