Question Thread Count (Not a Gaming Question)

I've searched the forums (and Google) for an answer but all of the discussion I see is geared toward gaming. I'm an independent analyst and have, at times, dozens of Firefox tabs open. Inevitibly I get a tab crash and have to restart all of my tabs. I am running an OCed 8700k and am wondering if the higher threaded 9900k at 16 threads will boost performance. I have 32G memory, so that should be plenty. I am running at 256Mb ramdisk as well.

What are my best options for improving performance and uptime reliability? More RAM? More threads?

256MB ramdisk? Why?

I've tested this with FF, and I don't see any crashes until 500-600 tabs open.
Not that I actually operate that way, but just to test.
