Threadripper 2950x for powerdirector worth it?

Hi I'm looking for advice on whether I should go for a threadripper 2950x build over a Ryzen 2700x. The main usage will be encoding/exporting upscaled clips from powerdirector. Will there be a significant time difference between these two chips in that software to warrant the extra expense? Thanks

I believe the thread ripper is significantly better, however if it's worth the price that's up to you. Here's a good article on it, so Ill let you be the judge.

So about 100% faster? If it can double the export speed it's worth it. I'm just worried that powerdirector specifically won't use the extra threads as Im aware Adobe doesn't perform well on the threadripper. I've currently got a 4460 and it took me a full 25 hours to export a 4k clip. Going off userbenchmarks it says 2700x is 280% faster (so 2.8x???) in multiple thread. And 2950x 650% faster (6.5x???)

You would have to check a forum specifically about Powerdirector to see if you will get anywhere near the performance.
