Hello,
I just bought a computer with the following specs:
Code:
ASRock X399 Phantom Gaming 6 sTR4 AMD X399 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX AMD Motherboard
G.SKILL Sniper X Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C19Q-64GSXKB
AMD 2nd Gen Ryzen Threadripper 2920X 12-Core, 24-Thread, 4.3 GHz Max Boost (3.5 GHz Base), Socket sTR4 180W YD292XA8AFWOF Desktop Processor
CORSAIR HX Series HX850 CP-9020138-NA 850W ATX12V v2.4 / EPS12V 2.92 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Power Supply
SAPPHIRE Radeon RX Vega 64 DirectX 12 21275-03-20G 8GB 2048-Bit HBM2 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card
Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240 RGB (TR4 Edition) - AIO CPU Liquid Cooler For AMD RYZEN Thread Ripper - with Dual 120mm

I am a little concerned because the BIOS has a HW Monitor and it shows my CPU consistently at 65C. The Core Temp applications shows most cores in the below 30C. According to AMD's site, the max is 68C. Am i not understanding something? I read somewhere that AMD did a 27 degree offset but i have no idea what that means.

Installed Ryzen Master, it shows my idle is roughly 31C degrees. Also, I had the water pump set to a fan in in the motherboard settings. After updating it, the stress test passes and the cpu never goes over 60C.
Thanks for the help!
