I've put together a build for someone I know, it's a Threadripper 1950X on MSI X399 Gaming Pro, using a 1TB Samsung 960 EVO NVMe drive. For the life of me I cannot seem to get it to load Windows 10. Which is strange... Windows 8 seems to load ok, in fact it loads to completion. Once in Windows 8 I try to upgrade it to Windows 10 and it will download everything it needs and then completely stall and do nothing. I've tried to fiddle with the BIOS settings and everything of that nature, but all of what I have tried has failed.

I can only suppose that it has something to do with NVMe RAID not being supported by the x399 chipset, but even still it doesn't make sense that I'm only using a single drive through AHCI to do this... Any thoughts on this anybody?

IOMMU is in the overclocking menu which wasn't easy to find but that solved my problem, W10 tries to be more linux like in the way it works with HAL, thats why it kept freezing up at boot.
