Three displays with HD5850

Hello.

I was wondering if I could set up a 3 monitor display using a HD5850 and a monitor which supports HDMI and VGA but no DVI. I would be buying two cables which have a DVI to VGA and I was wondering if it would work.

Here is the setup:

Monitor3 HD5850 Monitor2
Monitor3 -- DVI to VGA cable -- HD5850 -- DVI to VGA cable -- Monitor2
Monitor3 HD5850 Monitor2

And I am also not sure on the type of connector that the HD5850 uses (DVI-D, DVI-A, DVI-I, DVI-D) , can anyone tell me please?

To have 3 displays, the 3rd display MUST use Displayport. If your display does not accept this you need an active adapter. I can not decipher your setup, but this page you give you answers. Just read all 3 documents.
