three divice software advice

My daughter's chromebook is getting kind of gummy. Who knows what banner ads etc. she's clicked on. I am looking for something I can put on my pc and have a second and third license to put on my daughters' chromebooks.

I have been out of the loop on what is new and good. I last used viper, but it looks like it's $60 for three licenses, which was a bit more than I was expecting, though not out of the realm of possibility.

Thanks for any current advice.
 
It appears I can't put any such software on a chromebook, so I guess it's back to the drawing board to figure out why it's running so slow and locking up etc. I know it doesn't like when we do anything that has to do with shockwave. That seems to drive it a bit crazy if we click on something that tries to access it.
