Hey so i was looking around and was trying to figure out how to hook up a third monitor jsut for having pages open to read while gaming. From my understanding my gigabyte radeon hd0 5670 will support only 2 monitors at a time unless one has a display port which they dont. My motherboard which is the sabertooth z77 has a display port on it so if i buy a vga to displayport adapter and plug in the monitor to the mobo will that work for the third monitor?

thanks for the fast answer my main monitor is a 32" samsung led tv using an hdmi cable, the other 2 monitors are just junk i had laying around from my old pcs i just didnt want to buy new ones if theyd work. They both take VGA only. So from what i take it of what u said id need a new monitor the ones i have wont work?

thanks for that ill take a look at my local pc shop, cuz 35 is still cheaper then a new monitor for right now anyways. So if i bought that adapter though and plugged it into the mobo it would work? or do i need additional software or anything

Yeah. Just enable split screen or whatever it is (Xfinity? Eyefinity?) called in the Catalyst Control Center and you should be fine.

anyone got an idea ive tried googling and not getting anything that helps everything says to enable it in catalyst but i dont have an option for it in eyefinity it jus tlists my 2 moniots

oh sorry i misunderstood you further up on the page then, my graphics card is radeon hd 5670 so it only has hdmi vga and dvi no display port so ill have to wait until i can upgrade the card then

thanks for the help

thats cool thanks for all your help, i also got confused cuz i read a few pages where people said they did hook up 2 monitors to gpu and 1 to mobo by enabling on board gpu with a gpu but i couldnt find the option in my bios
