I'm aiming to get the best value for performance. I'm using this exclusively for gaming + general work stuff (I do a lot of internet-based research, and I do a lot of writing).

I'm not looking for frills, overclocking, or anything insane. I just want a computer that runs well, is easy to keep clean, runs cool and relatively quiet. I want to keep the maintenance on this thing fairly low, but have it easy to do when I need to. I'd like a fairly light tower (my CM Storm Scout has a nice carry handle, but weighs a damn ton). I would probably put the CM Hyper 212 on any system to increase its cooling capabilities, but I was considering a Corsair Hydro H55.

My current monitor is a 19x10, but I'm likely to go over to 1080p soon. I'll probably make a dual-monitor setup for work stuff, but not for gaming.

Thoughts?

all very sensible builds, not a lot to chose between them.
None have an SSD, which would give you a big performance improvement.
Try the stock cooler before upgrading - you might find it quiet enough
