i have 2 dvc 2 ohm subs wired to 1/2 ohm. 750w rms ea. ..amp is 1 ohm stable. if i add a 1500w rms 4 ohm dvc wired to 2 ohm... will that balance work with amp? will power distribute evenly? or wil one thrive while others starve?

Solution
You would have to put the new woofer in series with the old pair which would present 2.5 ohms to the amp. If you did it in parallel you would go below 1 ohm. You can play with the combinations using these formulae.

I would just use one vc of the original woofers in parallel to present 1 ohm to the amp. Different woofers don't sound the same so it's best to use the same woofer over the same frequency range.
