Thumb System Issue

I just posted a comment in the news article about 600,000+ tech jobs lost. After posting, I noticed the thumb choices were available to me for my comment. I wanted to see if it worked, so I was able to thumbs up my own comment. Is that an isolated issue with that particular news article or is there a problem with the thumbs system now?

Jus' curious... I am my number 1 fan so it'd be hard to resist patting myself on the back lol j/k
