Does anybody have a GC Alpine Ridge TB card working on an Asus Prime Z270-A mobo? If so, HOW?? Do I need to chuck it and go with the Asus card? Most PCI cards have never been this proprietary.
Does the Asus Prime Z270-A has the required THB_C header on the motherboard?
Maybe trying in different PCIe x4 slots.
Some motherboards required TB to be enabled in the BIOS
Use the drivers from the Gigabyte website.

The GC-ALPINE RIDGE offers an easy way to upgrade GIGABYTE Thunderbolt ready motherboards with the new and faster Thunderbolt 3 connectivity without having to upgrade to a whole new system. Unfortunately you don't have a Gigabyte Thunderbolt ready motherboard.

It does work in other motherboards besides Gigabytes.
I have a friend with the same card on the ASRock X299 Killer motherboard.
Hey Jojesa, It does have the header. I guess I will move it around to different slots and see if I can get it to fire up. I did enable TB in BIOS. I'll make sure to get the drivers from GB, although I think I did that a while back. Thanks for your reply, and I'll report back.
