Thunderbolt support for taichi x399 threadripper motherboard

I own this x399 taichi, my question is : will it support thunderbolt add-in card ? as i just got this new information about thunderbolt is coming to threadripper :

No as the x399 taichi itself need to support Thunderbolt 3 by having a licenced chip and a thunderbolt header. You would need to plug in a cable from the Thunderbolt 3 add in card to the motherboard's thunderbolt header to make it work.
