Hello, I have an external USB-C SSD that has worked several times connected via USB-C cable. I can no longer find the Thunderbolt TM device in the device manager and the port is shared so I can plug in thunderbolt or USB-C if that makes sense. I tried downloading and installing the driver from the Gigabyte Vision D Z590 website and it still won't detect any SSD that's plugged in.

The same drive and cable show up just fine on my Windows 10 laptop via the same type of connection. I tried downloading a free driver update software and had no luck with that either. The only thing I can see in the device manager is that a USB 3.1 controller was last used in August which is weird because the SSD was working fine yesterday. I can, however, connect this drive to the desktop PC via USB-C from the drive to a regular USB 3 cable connection and it shows up but it's not getting the proper connection I want.
