Hey all,
So few days ago i picked this pc up:

Sorry to put the link like that but that's the best i think.
Few moments ago i shut it down and it kept making a noise, similar to a clock (click clack tick tick), its not loud but i do hear it - and i mean i find it a bit scary?
Do i have the reason to be scared? Is it normal?
When i unplug pc fully the sound stops. When i plug it back in, it continues. Any fixes?
Thanks, im real scared because its brand new, quite a bit expensive for me especially and i don't live in the country in which i bought it so it would be a pain to do anything

Not normal. Especially if the sound is occurring with the PC plugged in and not turned on.

Do you feel comfortable opening the case to look for the source of the sound?

Or, if not, do you have a family member or friend who can help you do so?

Knowing the source of the sound is key: fan, psu, hard drive, speaker....

I have openned it, im 99% sure that it comes from the power supply / cord / something to do with power.
I unplugged everything from it, and when i plug in just the power in it, the noise begins.
Here's the video:

Increase volume at the end so you can hear it. Its basicly static sounds. I have my thoughts that the problem could be straight electricity from where i live, because my previous PC also made some "idle" noises when i turned it off, and then i procedeed to turn off the power on the I/O button on the back of the case. But on this case i don't have that button so i would have to basicly unplug it after i shut it down.
Is the unpluging every night safe? (Ofcourse after normal shutdown, not just straight up while its on still)

Make and model PSU?

Wattage, age, condition (originally new, refurbished, used)?

History of heavy use for gaming, video editing, bit-mining?
Brand new . I can't say for sure rn which is the psu model, if you can find in the link in the first post that would be great. I think its 500W

They don't share that in those specs. Could be any OEM. Is likely made on "budget" and not too good. Think the continuous tikking isn't a good sign, could also be an old design of the psu married to about last gen parts, but i guess you have problems with rma since not bought in your own country.

What does Acer support have to say about it? You talked to them or do you just want to figure it out by yourself?

Hi, I bought this same prebuilt as well in early Jan 2022 from costco in canada. My unit is making this similar buzzing sound as well even when pc is shut down. I checked acer fourm seems like many people having the same issue. I'm not sure what to do with it. I see some people sent it backed and replaced the PSU twice and still having the same issue. I'm still deciding if I want to keep it or not.

Other than the PSU issue, everything else it OK. Maybe just need to change the CPU cooler.

I suppose it is normal in that case... Probably that "active pfc" thing. Is annoying tho
