just find a copy of the Collection edition, after 10 years the game
still very fun to play, the only complaint was the music on CD audio
format, i rather they use midi as the original Tie fighter so the music
will dynamically change.

BTW is it the latest edition for Xwing & Tie FIghter game LA had come
out with ?

Don't exactly know what you mean..

There was X-Wing, then Tie Fighter, Then their add-ons, then Collector's CD
editions of them (X-Wing in old resolution, Tie Fighter in 640*480). But, in
1998 there was an X-Wing Collector's Edition which featured both X-Wing and
Tie Fighter in 640*480.. Then later came another edition which also featured
X-Wing Alliance but lacked X-Wing 640*480 edition..

Then there was that X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter multiplayer game; it did have a
Balance of Power single-player campaign add-on, but it was nowhere near
original games' plots (which is a shame since the graphical engine has
improved considerably).

Finally, there was the X-Wing Allience which is a very good game; I only
wish there were official addons for it with various campaigns.. It's a shame
they dropped it afterwards.. Stupid market demands! :)

I believe he means the "X-Wing Collector Series":

Yep, that be the one. Reading the link above, they
remade the two classics using the XvT engine ...

I don't think so.. I think it's Tie Fighter Collector's CD plus X-Wing
revorked to the same standard (640*480, that is). I should be getting this
game in a few days so I'll know for sure..
