Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how good a Tikka T3 in .308 is likely to be in terms of
being accurate.
How much do these rifles cost new?

TIA

Thanks both for your replies ( Pete & David ).
I spotted a s/h Tikka .308 in the local gun shop and I think they are
going to be charging about £300 odd pounds for it. The rifle has had
less than 100 round through the barrel but to me it feels VERY light
weight and I’m only slightly concerned about the felt recoil of the .308
round in such a light weight rifle. The metal work is SS. The crown is
A1, the throat looks new which isn’t surprising as the rifle is
basically new.
My guess is that this rifle has to be less than 6 lbs in weight, maybe
even less than 5 lbs. Have either of you shot what looks to be a Tikka
lite in .308?

Again, many thanks.

Someone else has kindly given you the info you require.

I've got several Tikkas and, frankly, find it hard to think of a valid
reason to buy anything else - unless I was wandering into custom rifle
territory.

Think about it.. would you rather buy a Sako, or a rifle built by Sako
and have money enough left over to put a good quality scope on your
new toy?

Bargain!

Maybe the previous owner found it too harsh? Buy it, try it, if you
don't like it put a deeper recoil pad on the stock.

No but I've got a skeletally-stocked .308 and it's fine.
