Time before the post beep is heared.

Good day. I am a bit skeptical about the time between you press the power button on your computer and the beeping of the POST or appearing of the post screen.

I am experiencing a short post time, around 3 seconds, but there are times that it takes up to 6 seconds. Is there anything wrong?

In your experience / current system, how long does the post beep/screen appears?

After it's disconnected from mains for any length of time it usually takes longer.

Really? In your case, how many seconds does your system post?

Just about same as yours. Longer after power was off and a bit shorter when rebooting from OS. I have seen some cases (I call them lazy PSU) when it would take several minutes if power was off few hours. Press start button, make coffee and it would start booting up.

Ah I see, so it doesn't pose something wrong with my motherboard or anything inside my system. Am I right?

Methinks you are OK. Some MBs have fast start or turbo start options. Needs UEFI for that.
