So while I have done little upgrades here and there, it was only when recently I was looking to do a MOB upgrade just because I still use the dated EFI bios, which I think are a tiny bit slower on boot up? Maybe wrong.. Either way! So yeah I see DDR3 and AM3+ long ago died.. its very hard to get MOB's for AM3+ now, and pretty much for ddr3.
I use my PC for everything, I watch masses of movies and TV's on it, I like to play games now and then (and I like to crank the graphics up) and I also do a lot of design and video work, so After Effects render times improving are a key element in upgrading. I also am currently studying 3D modelling and animation (Cinema 4D)
Lastly with CES 2018 currently happening, AMD recently released their roadmap and I noticed Ryzen are getting a refresh Q2.. but I am very impatient and keen to upgrade... But at the same time, if its a mistake upgrading now and not waiting, lemme know.
So currently my specs are;
So upgrade wise, I have done a lot reading and for a budget of around £500 (i can increase this) I am thinking for the new build I'll get..
and then keep the graphics card and hard drives as they are. Gaming wise, they all seem to play fine with ultra on.. I only use the generic 1080p resolution as both my monitor and TV are 1080. So I usually use Vsync when gaming as my tv is only 60hz anyway so I don't need to go above 60fps?
*But yeah for a budget of £500 - £600 it would be great to know if this is the best I will get for my money, or if I am wiser going this another way? *
Thanks!
