Hey Guys....getting back into PC gaming and think its time to leave console behind. Been playing Ark and hope to play new games in the future. Question I have is....should I upgrade certain parts...replace some keep some....or start from scratch. I have roughly $1,000.00 USD to use...but less would be better. Thanks in advance for the help!!

My current PC is running:
ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO AM3 AMD 785G Micro ATX AMD Mobo
AMD A10-5800k
EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SC Gaming, 4GB GDDR5
G.Skill Ares Series 16gb (2x8GB) 240-Pin DDR SDRAM 1866
Seagate SATA 500GB 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal
Seagate 500GB SSD (Not sure of model...sorry)
Raidmax Hybrid 2 RX-530SS 530W ATX12V etc....psu

Solution
There is no way those specs are correct, as that CPU is not an AM3 based chip. I would say it is time for a new rig, regardless. You could reuse your storage. For future reference, never use a Raidmax psu. They are quite bad, quality wise.

Assuming 1080p gaming, so this would also be fine, if you really do not want to spend that close to your limit.

Thanks! I might be wrong on mobo....correct on CPU though. I built 9 years ago and upgraded GPU, RAM and SSD since. Would my current GPU hold me over sufficiently? Just thinking outloud to change mobo, CPU, PSU and ram to start and piece mail the rest as money is easier. Thought?

Yes, you could reuse the, if money is an issue. Your gaming should improve, as I am quite certain your current CPU is keeping your GPU from reaching its max potential. I didn't know what case you had, hence the new one. As long as your case is an ATX and not an M-atx, you should be fine.

Sure you dont need a 2060 or whatever, that's just not essential.
At least with the build above you will unlock your GPU to its full potential and can upgrade whenever you feel that card isn't giving you the best.
The system for the AMD above is quite good

Just remember this, if you sold your PC as it is now, you would easily be sold, rather than selling "parts".
Sell the system you have for $3-400 and get a complete new one.
500GB SSDs are quite cheap now and a 1660 card would be ideal for you. - Just a thought

Trust me...selling is a thought....only problem I feel I run into is being without a PC for at least a week. I think it comes down to begging my wife to let me spend up front and return money later. I am a slave to the one who spends all my money...LOL.
