Time for a new data drive?

i have an old WD caviar green 1TB drive that i bought used a year ago. i am pretty sure it is SATA I and 5400rpm. it is causing my rig to boot about 30 seconds slower than it should. with my crucial m4 SSD i boot before the windows logo is put together. i can notice its sluggish performance often. im sure if i formatted it i would be able to make my rig boot at its proper speed and see a small speed increase but the question is when will i start having problems again

i think its finally time to upgrade. i am thinking about a WD caviar blue SATA 3 1TB for about $110 [its a shame prices went up] unless anyone has a fix. price is an issue has to be around $100 preferably less

how much can i sell my old one for and a 150GB maxtor 7200 rpm [i beleive its a SATA 2, if not its SATA 1].

im thinking about $45 for the 1TB and $20 for the 150GB

i use the data drive for music, movies, tv shows, large installs, pictures, .iso, etc

I highly doubt you would be able to get $45 for a 1tb sata I drive that is out of warranty. A quick look at local craigslist and a new open boxed 2tb wd green sata 3 drive had an asking price of $100. I wouldn't actually buy a used drive that was out of warranty, and don't expect many others would be willing to pay more the $10 or $20 to take a gamble with it. I don't see more then $10 maybe for the 150g drive if able to sell it at all.

Not trying to be a pain about it, but used hard drives that are out of warranty are just not worth very much.
